Does it work locally?

Yes. The console runs entirely on your own machine — no cloud required. Your clients' data, session logs, and reports stay on hardware you control. The only optional network dependency is Tailscale, and you can skip it with local-only mode (same LAN).

Do I need a license key?

You pick a plan (Lifetime, Yearly, or Monthly) in the first-run wizard, which activates your install. There are no per-device or per-seat keys. Renewals apply to your plan, not to individual machines.

How do I uninstall?

• Windows — Settings → Apps → BareNOC Desktop → Uninstall (or run the MSI again and choose Remove).
• Fedora — sudo dnf remove barenoc-desktop.
• Tarball — delete the folder and remove the launcher entry.

Uninstalling the console does not touch the devices you adopted; they stay joined until you remove them from Devices first.
